Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv bounced back at the expense of Hapoel Haifa, crushing them 106-67 on the road. The Israeli champions recorded their third consecutive league win and maintained their position at the top of the local standings.
Oded Kattash's yellow team started the second round of the Israeli Premier League successfully, thanks to a barrage from beyond the arc. Maccabi made 18 three-pointers - the club's sixth-best mark ever in the competition - out of 32 attempts. Nine different players contributed at least one triple.
Six Maccabi players scored in double figures, including Levi Randolph with 17 points and Omer Mayer with 12. The home team actually began better and led 14-6, but after a timeout, the yellows made a 15-1 run and never looked back en route to a 12-2 record.
Up next for the Maccabees is a particularly challenging EuroLeague double week with visits to Madrid and Paris.
