Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv has exciting news ahead of the contest against Hapoel Haifa as part of the 6th fixture of the Israeli Winner League (Monday, 21:00, live on Sport5 - channel 55). John DiBartolomeo completed his recovery period, and for the first time this season, the guard was included in Giannis Sfairopoulos's roster towards the matchup in Menorah Mivtachim Arena.
Dibartolomeo's last domestic league game was in late November of 2019 versus Maccabi Haifa, in which he played 23 minutes and scored 9 points. Five days later, Maccabi's captain injured himself against Bayern Munich, as the Israeli waited on the sidelines for almost a full calendar year for his return.
The Yellow & Blue will match up for the third time this season against Elad Hasin's squad as Maccabi came victorious in the first two contests. Giannis Sfairopoulos's side defeated the Reds in an exhibition game 89:84 and 83:74 in the Quarterfinal Winner Cup. By the way, Hapoel Haifa is Maccabi's next opponent in the Round of 16 State Cup.
In the various domestic competitions, Maccabi holds a perfect record overcoming Hapoel Haifa and Maccabi Rishon Le'Zion in the Winner Cup, defeating Hapoel Eilat and Bnei Herzliya as part of the Winner League and a win over Maccabi Ashdod in the first round of the State Cup.
On the other hand, The Reds come in with a 3:1 league record after wins over Bnei Herzliya, Ironi Naharia, and Ironi Ness Ziona. In the last league fixture, Haifa lost to Hapoel Eilat 84:97, although scoring 51 points in the second half. 27 points scored by Jason Siggers and 14 points from Karam Mashour.
