Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv enters another challenging Euroleague week with hopes of ending it with a ticket to the playoffs. On Tuesday, the Yellows will meet Panathinaikos, one of their arch-rivals, in a tough battle in Greece.
Two wins against the Greens (19:00 pm Israel time, 12 pm ET) and then over Villeurbanne will secure Maccabi a place in the top 8. "We are going to face a very dangerous team, especially at home," said Avi Even. "Last week, we achieved victories through the defense, and we want to do it again. Panathinaikos might not be at the top of the Euroleague table at the moment, but it's a very talented team offensively".
"Obviously, this is a different challenge compared to home games where the crowd supports us," added John DiBartolomeo. "We are in a good momentum and need to continue showing the same level we have shown recently."
