A historical European basketball rivalry will write another chapter on Thursday (9 pm Israel time, 2 pm local time) when Maccabi Tel-Aviv hosts Panathinaikos at Menora Mivtachim Arena, hoping to keep its home record flawless.
The Yellows are in good shape and arrive at the game after great wins over Monaco and Villeurbanne in the Euroleague and after winning Winner's cup with a dramatic victory over city rivals, Hapoel Tel Aviv.
"It's important for us to keep our home record flawless and continue to improve," said Oded Kattash at the official press conference ahead of the game. "It's just the beginning of the season and every team has ups and downs during games, but I'm sure our fans will give us the push we need".
"I feel like we have to keep playing the way we've been playing the last two games," added Jarell Martin. "We need to throw the first punch and keep the momentum going. The atmosphere in the arena will give us the hunger and strength to fight"
