Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv lost its second game in Giannakopoulos tournament, but not without much optimism for the future. The Yellows were defeated 81:87 by European champions Anadolu Efes in Athens, erasing a 24-point deficit but failing to complete a comeback.
Apart from the second quarter, in which the Turks won 38:15, Maccabi looked good and won all the other three quarters. Wade Baldwin delivered with 20 points, but besides him, 4 other players scored in double figures, including Bonzi Colson and Jarell Martin.
On Tuesday, the Yellows will meet Hapoel Gilboa/Galil in Hadera in the quarter-finals of Winner Cup.
