Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv is just one win away from securing a spot in the Winner's League finals. To achieve this goal, the Yellows must defeat Hapoel Holon on Friday at 3:30 pm Israel time and seal the semis series, which currently stands at 1-0 in favor of Maccabi. In the event that Oded Kattash's players lose tomorrow's game, a deciding Game 3 will be played at Menora Mivtachim Arena on Sunday.
Maccabi's roster for Friday will include John DiBartolomeo, Lorenzo Brown, Wade Baldwin, Rafi Menco, Roman Sorkin, Guy Pnini, Darrun Hilliard, Jake Cohen, Tomer Agmon, Alex Poythress, Yiftach Ziv, and Bonzie Colson.
"We must understand the urgency and importance of this game right from the start," Kattash said. "We are searching for solutions to our slow starts in games, but even if we find ourselves trailing, we can make a comeback by maintaining focus. Despite winning on Tuesday, there are still offensive and defensive elements that require fixing to seal this series on Friday".
Lorenzo Brown, Maccabi's MVP thus far in the playoffs, discussed the primary keys to winning Game 2: "We must maintain a high level of intensity and aggression. The atmosphere in Holon will be hostile, so we must keep our composure. Winning the championship is the most important goal for the club, and we can achieve it by approaching every game with the same level of determination as in a Euroleague game".
