Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv are back in Belgrade on Wednesday to begin another EuroLeague double week, beginning with a "home" matchup against surging Virtus Bologna (10 PM Israel Time, 3 PM ET). The yellows are looking to bounce back from the loss to Fenerbahce to remain inside the top 8 teams in the standings.
Virtus are this season's biggest success story, arriving to this game with a 15-4 record after failing to reach the playoffs last season. They are doing so thanks in large part to Tornike Shengelia, who is responsible to almost 16 points per game, and veteran Marco Bellineli who adds 14.3 ppg while shooting over 43% from deep.
"Bologna are a strong team", said Roman Sorkin. "The key to the game is clearly stopping Bellineli and Shengelia, and to limit their quick running game. We have to come focused and win the game".
