The streak continues. Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv notched its 13th straight win across all competitions, including five in the EuroLeague, by dominating the fourth quarter in Munich on Friday. The yellows' 89-74 victory ensures their spot in the Play-In at the very least, and keeps the hope for a guaranteed place in the playoffs alive.
It was a game of runs, with the Israeli champs dominating the second quarter to open a 16-point lead. That separation was erased by the Bavarians in the third frame, but a collective effort by Maccabi ensured the win in the final quarter. Oded Kattash's team finised the game on a 24-4 run.
Five players had double-digits points for Maccabi, led by Jasiel Rivero who contributed 17 points in under 12 minutes off the bench. Wade Baldwin IV scored 15 points while both James Webb and Lorenzo Brown added 12.
Next up for the yellows is a road game against Kiryat Ata on Sunday, before hosting Valencia in Belgrade on Wednesday. The contest against the Spaniards will be Maccabi's first in front of fans in Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.
