Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv completed a second straight 20-win season in the EuroLeague by beating Milano 92-86 on Thursday in Belgrade. Despite the fact this game had no consequences for the yellows while the Italians still had chances to qualify for the Play-In, Maccabi led for most of the contest.
As a result of the win, the Israeli champions finished seventh with a 20-14 record, and will host the Play-In on Tuesday in Serbia. The opponent will be the winner of the matchup between Virtus Bologna and Baskonia on Friday.
Wade Baldwin was once again Maccabi's top scorer with 18 points, while Josh Nebo delivered 14 points and 9 boards. Coach Oded Kattash spread the minutes between all 12 players on the roster, and received contributions from them all.
Now the yellows will return home to Tel Aviv to host another league game against Hapoel Holon on Saturday night. This will be their last game before the Play-In showdown.
