Exactly a year since the huge victory 94-65 that sent Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv to the Final Four in Bologna, they returned to Vitoria and once more beat TAU 93-79. This time the win was meaningless as Benetton qualified already last week to the Final Four in Barcelona.

TAU led 28-23 at the end of the first quarter. Maccabi took the lead for the first time 39-38 and at the half led 43-42. Maccabi won the third period 31-17 with a great performance and kept the 14 pts lead to the end.

A great evening for Nikola Vujcic with a personal scoring record in the Euroleague of 30 pts, including 3 three pointers as well as 6 rbds. Vujcic led all scorers of the "top 16" with an average of 21 pts.

Benetton completed a perfect “Top 16” with a 98-76 win over Virtus Bologna. In the Final Four semi finals on May 9, Benetton will play Montepaschi Siena. In the other game Barcelona will play CSKA Moscow.
