Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv will play the second leg of a EuroLeague double week on Thursday at 9:30 PM (Israel time), facing Paris on the road. Following an impressive offensive performance that wasn't sufficient for a win over Real Madrid in Spain, the yellow team is looking to take another step forward and overcome this season's most surprising team in the competition.  

Oded Kattash arrives in the French capital with a full roster. Will Rayman and David DeJulius were excluded from the game roster in Madrid as a coach's decision, and he faces a challenge to decide who will not be included in the lineup against Tiago Splitter's team. Maccabi flew to Paris on Wednesday afternoon and held a practice session there in the evening.  



In their debut season in the EuroLeague, the Parisians stunned Europe with a 10-game winning streak during the first round. However, since then, they've suffered five consecutive losses, including disruptions caused by a mysterious virus that affected the team and led to the postponement of their game against Fenerbah?e. This losing streak ended earlier this week, as Paris defeated Anadolu Efes 88-84 to improve to a 12-8 record.

In both victories and losses, T.J. Shorts continues to be the central figure for Paris, averaging 18.8 points and 7.3 assists per game, including 42% shooting from beyond the arc. Guards Nadir Hifi (14.2 points per game) and Maodo Lo (10.6) support him, making the young French team one of the most dangerous in Europe.  

However, Paris struggles in the paint, allowing opponents to grab nearly 40 rebounds per game, the worst statistic in the EuroLeague. Additionally, they shoot only 52.9% on two-point attempts, ranking third from the bottom in this category.

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv ended a double EuroLeague week with a 83-96 loss to Paris in the French capital.

The locals jumped to an early lead, and by the end of the first quarter they were leading 26-11. The yellows chased Paris for the rest of the game, making a couple runs that gave them a chance for a comeback, but they could not stop the dynamic duo of T.J Shorts (11 points and 14 assists) and Nadir Hifi (15 points).



Jaylen Hoard and Rokas Jokubaitis each scored 16 points in front of hundreds of Maccabi fans, both locals and Israelis, who came to support the team in its first-ever away game in the City of Lights. Roman Sorkin and Levi Randolph contributed 10 apiece.

On Monday, Oded Kattash and his players will return home to Menora Mivtachim arena after more than a month and a half to host Ironi Ness Ziona in the State Cup quarterfinals.
