After leading 30-16 at the end of the first quarter, it was clear that Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv will have no problems in disposing of Adecco ASVEL. Finally it was 89-69 which gave Maccabi its eighth regular season win and put Maccabi well clear at the top of Group B of the Euroleague.
The French team, which was close of beating Maccabi in Villeurbanne, hardly troubled the home team. Although Maccabi were not at their best, they led by 15 to 20 points for most of the game.

With seven minutes to go the lead was only 10 pts (68-58) but captain Gur Shelef made sure that Maccabi could cruise to a 20 points win.
