Maccabi Tel Aviv lost at Ljubljana 75-77 although leading by 10 points at half time (42-32). Teemu Rannikko, the guard that came very close to sign with Maccabi, scored the winning basket.
Now Maccabi need to beat Panathinaikos to secured the second place at group b, and if it fails to win Maccabi can drop to third, fourth or fifth place.
A 14-0 run by Ljubljana gave the hosts a 70-60 lead with five minutes to play. Three-pointers by Derrick Sharp (18 points) and a clutch basket from beyond the arc by Nikola Vujcic (13 points, 11 rebounds) tied the score with 17 seconds to go, but Rannikko gave his club its fourth Euroleague win of the season.
