After 3 close quarters, Maccabi Tel Aviv erupted in the last 10 minutes to beat Givat Shmuel 98-75 and raised its perfect record in the Israeli super league to 12-0.
Nikola Vujcic led all scorers with 23 points, Sharon Shason buried 3 three-pointers and Tal Burstein had a great all-around game with 10 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Givat Shmuel started impressively with a 10-2 run, but Yotam Halperin (in the starting 5 after 3 games in which he saw no action at all), Bynum and Eliyahu made it 21-17 at the end of the quarter. Vujcic rested in the second quarter and Bo davies' threes kept Givat Shmuel in the game, 41-38 to Maccabi at halftime.
Vujcic got his offensive going in the second half, punishing Givat Shmuel with his clever passing and shooting. Shason was unstoppable from outside and Eliyahu dunked his way to 10 points. Maccabi didn't look back and won comfortably 98-75.
