Maccabi played poor basketball and Tau flew to fastbreaks. The Spanish team controlled the game from the very beginning and Maccabi could not come close. The yellows lost 21 balls and shot poorly from behind the arc (5 for 21). Nikola Vujcic played sick and could not contribute, as only Lior Eliyahu functioned in the offensive end.
Luis Scola led all scorers with 25 points and became the euroleague all-time leading scorer.
Like many times before, Maccabi had a rough start and quickly fell to 8-17. Scola celebrated under the baskets and Eliyahu scored all Maccbi's first 8 points. Maccabi had no answer to the Spanish club's great offensive play, and Tau extended its lead to 38-17 and 50-33 at halftime.
Bynum dunked an amazing offensive rebound to cut the lead to 13, but Prigioni who passed six assists stopped Maccabi's momentum with 5 straight points. Arslan buried 3 three-pointers and Tau celebrated a huge win, 94-73.
