Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv easily beat Maccabi Rishom Letzion 108-87 in the final game of the second round of the Israeli superleague. Maccabi returned to the top of the standings with a 16-2 record. The third round begins Thursday as Maccabi hosts Ironi Ashkelon.
Lior Eliyahu didn’t start but had a great all-round perfomance with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Goran Jeretin scored 16 and Yotam Halperin, who has been watched from the stands by Seattle’s head of scouting, scored 16.
