Will Bynum, who proved this season several times what a gifted athlete he is, had an amazing evening at Kfar Blum scoring 14 points and passing a league season record 16 assists, as Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Galil Elyon 114-100.
Maccabi officially secured the first position of the regular season, and its opponent at the final four will be Ironi Nahariya or Galil Elyon.
Yaniv Green, who started instead of injured Nikola Vujcic, led Maccabi with 21 points. Tal Burstein contributed 16 points and 8 assists, and Simas Jasaitis had a hot first half, in which he scored all of his 19 points.
Thanks to Simas and Green Maccabi opened a double-digit lead, 28-15, but two baskets by Mosinzon made it 32-26 to Maccabi after one quarter.
Galil came close as one point from Maccabi in the third quarter, but Maccabi’s superb shooting from behind the arc helped the team pull away a nice victory’ 114-100.
