In week 2 of the Israeli Winner Sal League, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv defeated Hapoel Unet Holon 89-73 at Nokia Arena. Sylven Landesberg led Maccabi's scorers with 20 points, Jake Cohen with 13 points was named game MVP. Devin Smith and Yogev Ohayon (7 assists) added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Maccabi's starters were Brian Randle, Jake Cohen, Yogev Ohayon, Jeremy Pargo, and Devin Smith. Maccabi opened strong, with points by Randle, Cohen (hook shot) and a layup and one by Pargo got things warmed up. Smith added a triple that made it 10-3 after two and a half minutes. Maccabi continued to dominate, with Randle, Smith (two straight buckets), and Cohen scoring to put Maccabi up 17-3 halfway through the quarter. Holon finally managed to score their second bucket of the period, but Cohen responded with points from downtown (twice) and an assist in the paint to MarQuez Haynes, to run Maccabi to 25-7 with less than three minutes on the clock. Sylven Landesberg added two buckets from outside the arc and the period ended with Maccabi leading 32-11.

Holon looked much sharper in the second quarter, running 6-0 to cut their deficit, until Landesberg and Ben Altit reopened Maccabi's lead, 38-18 after three minutes. Pnini added a trey and together with Pargo kept the visitors at bay. Holon kept up the pace, though, and despite more points from Landesberg and a three by Pargo, the teams went into the halftime break with the score 50-36.

Maccabi once again took charge of the game, as Smith and Ohayon combined to put Maccabi up 59-38 in the first two and a half minutes. Holon continued to fight, but Maccabi protected their lead, which hovered at or close to twenty for much of the period. Smith, Cohen and Haynes scored to make it 67-47 with three and a half minutes left in the period. Aleks Mari? added a bucket and one to end the quarter with the score 71-51.

Cohen continued to show his skills, adding more points from downtown as the fourth quarter got underway. Ohayon added a triple from the top of the arc, then started a fast break that went to Haynes and ended up with Landesberg scoring to make it 79-55 after three minutes. The visitors never stopped trying, and although Maccabi eased up in the final minutes Holon just didn't have what it takes, and Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv defeated Hapoel Unet Holon 89-73.
