Sonny Weems led with 23 points, 5 others got double figures. Hadar: "our defense still bothers me"

It wasn't easy by Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv can finally celebrate a Euroleage win. An interesting evening in Menora ended with a 98:92 win over Galatasaray on Rami Hadar first game as head Coach. Maccabi displayed great offense at times but the defensive played still leaves a lot to be desired.

Sonny Weems had a very good evening with 23 points and 5 rebounds, Colton Iverson and Devin Smith got 17 each and Maccabi didn't relinquish its lead despite a 15 three pointer effort from the visitors. Maccabi has a tough week ahead with an away game against Zalgiris on Friday followed by games against Hapoel Tel Aviv and Barcelona.

"I appreciate the effort level by our players, but we're still not playing well", said Hadar, "we didn't respond well to their pick and roll and we plaid for that by giving them free looks from outside. On top of that, we still have trouble rebounding on the defensive end and that kept us from closing the game early".
