Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv dropped its fifth Euroleague game in a row and for the second time in 48 hours, it was a game in which Maccabi had a big lead. 48:31 lead in halftime wasn't enough against David Blatt and Darussafaka who rallied and came back to win 86:84 and drop Maccabi to 5:9 in Euroleague play.
Like in the game against CSKA, Maccabi got off to a wonderful start, including a 22:0 run that gave them a 19 point lead. But that lead was all but erased during the third quarter and the last 10 minutes were close, with the home team draining some clutch shots and getting the win.
Andrew Goudelock had himself a day with 23 points including 5 three pointers without a miss. He also had 8 rebounds. Victor Rudd scored 17, Devin Smith had 12 and Colton Iverson got 10. Sonny Weems had 9 before hurting himself on the last play of the third quarter. He did not return.
Maccabi plays Rishon Lezion on Monday before heading off to Spain to face Baskonia Vitoria.
