Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv is no longer perfect in league play. The team suffered its first domestic loss in Herzliya 82:84, after a fourth quarter comeback fell short. As we've seen in the last few weeks, it was the start of the game that proved to be Maccabi's downfall. A terrible first quarter on both sides of the court ended in a 20 point hole, a second half awakening proved too little too late.
"I have nothing to say about the defense", said Rami Hadar, "we got off to a really bad start and all the effort we put in to come back just wasn't enough. Why do these things happen? That’s something we'll have to understand. I don't no any cure other than hard work".
Andrew Goudelock said: "it's the same story all over again. A bad start, a comeback and the inability to finish off properly. Our energy levels are just too low. We can't keep going on like this".
