Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv will face Armani Milan at the Mediolanum Forum, an arena that has great with yellows back in 2014. Maccabi's sights are locked on this extremely important game that can not only improve their record in the standings, but can also put them in a better position just before entering the final straight. The team will enjoy tens of fans that have traveled to Milan to cheer their team.
Coach Spahija: "The last couple of days helped us recover and do things we didn't do for a lot of time and we took advantage of that. We have some small issues with injuries but I think that everyone will be ready for the game tomorrow. Milan are playing better basketball than what they've played in Tel Aviv, I think that with effort and our preparation we have a chance to win the game. I know very well about the good memories even though the teams are different and with deferent coaches and as the head coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv I can promise our fans that we're always going to fight and it doesn't matter who are we playing and where are we playing".
DeShaun Thomas: "We worked on a lot of small details, mainly on defense. We also talked on how to be more aggressive and to be able to maintain the same level of intensity throughout the game. Nobody thinks it's going to be easy, we need to go out there with the right approach and energies' to me every game is a "must win" game, especially when entering the decisive phase of the season".
Yovel Zoosman: "We put a lot of emphasis on aggressiveness, decreasing our turnovers, offensive rebounds is very important as well as decision making. I hope that we will come out of this arena the same way we did before – with a win, and we will do whatever it takes to get the win".
Alex Tyus also addressed what needs to be done to get the win: "I think first it's about our defense, lately we've been giving up a lot of points so we have to stay focused and to come out with a lot of energies that will help us to get the win. There are a lot of great memories it's hard to zero in on just one, but winning the EuroLeague championship here will always have a special place in my mind whenever I come back here to play. One of the great things about Maccabi Tel Aviv is that the fans are everywhere supporting us, we love it, it always gives us a lot of energies especially at home and we're thankful for them and we'll try to get the win".
Coach Simone Pianigiani: "To stay in the game we will have to repeat what we did during the last couple of games in terms of moving the ball, setting the tempo and attacking with confidence with several players. They have a lot of energy and are more physical than us. In Tel Aviv, their transition points and second chance points made the difference. We know we can play with them but in order to win for the first time against a playoffs team we will have to raise are competitiveness and physicality. It will be the key factor to get the third straight win before our home crowd."
