The yellows started their journey to Istanbul where they hope to get back to their winning ways in the EuroLeague. Maccabi are now the eighth seed in the standings holding a 12:12 record. The squad in yellow and blue completed their preparations knowing that a win can give them some serious breathing space with only six games remaining in the EuroLeague regular season. The game will be broadcasted live on Sport5HD and Channel Ten 18:30 CET.

"It was definitely a tough loss (Ness Ziona) but we don't have any problem within the locker room" said coach Spahija, "we did some different activities than we usually do, it's always like that after a loss, you put the extra effort in the preparations and analytics, the reaction of the players was very good and we have to find the way out of this situation, I'm definitely worried about what that has happened, for the first time this season we lost three games in a row it can happen to any team in Europe but I'm not trying to make any excuses. I'm the leader of this program and I have to take care of recovering, putting the team on the right track and to get back and play the basketball we played for most parts of the season".

"We just need to play better, that wasn't our best game by far" said Pierre Jackson, "Coach let us know that we as a team need to do better and that's what we need to do from here on out".

"Just like coach told us, we hit a wall last time" said Jonah Bolden, "In my first professional year and also when I played in college, we hit a wall whether it's this time of the year earlier or later there's going to be a wall that we hit but I think that as a team it helps us grow and to come together, figure out what's right and what's not right, what's working and what's not, we got to move forward and to only go up from here. We had a team meeting without the coaches, Pierre stood up and said that we all go to take it on ourselves, whatever might be the issue we need to step up individually, everyone understand their role in the team by now and it's just about going out there and do what we need to do to get the win".

Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv got back to winning ways after the important 81:94 win on the road over Anadolu Efes. Maccabi improved their record to 13:12 in the EuroLeague standings as next week they will have the chance to grab the number seven spot as they will host Khimki Moscow with the post season being just around the corner. 

Coach Spahija's starting five: Jackson, Kane, Roll, Bolden and Art. The yellows were the first to score, Jonah completed a coast to coast fastbreak with a thunderous dunk however Efes stayed close to the yellows who were ahead 10:12 with just over five minutes remaining in the first quarter. Weems gave Anadolu the back the lead and Batuk increased it to 16:12 forcing coach Spahija to call for a timeout. Cole's three pointer sparked a 5:0 run but Dunston and McCollum gave back the lead to the locals (21:17). Cole found Thomas who minimized Anadolu's lead to 21:20 as the first quarter ended.

The Turks increased their lead to 23:20 at the beginning of the second quarter but John-Di reacted with five points to give the yellows the 23:25 lead. Both teams exchanged baskets with the yellows being the first to capitalize as they increased their lead to 28:33 as the second quarter reached its halfway mark. Roll increased the visitors lead to 28:36 however Efes reacted with a 5:0 run. Tyus' free throws kept Maccabi ahead of the hosts (37:40) with less than two minutes remaining in the first half. Jackson increased Maccabi's lead but Weems reacted with a three pointer as the yellows finished the first half ahead 42:43. 

The yellows started the third quarter with a 7:0 run forcing coach Ataman to call for a time out with the yellows leading 42:50, Weems scored for Efes but Jackson scored from the free throw line (44:52). Dunston and McCollum brought Efes back into the game (49:52) forcing coach Spahija to call for a timeout. Thomas' successful free throws increased Maccabi's lead to 51:57 with just over four minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Jackson and Kane continued the yellows' shooting clinic from downtown to take the double digit lead (53:63), however Douglas reacted with five points (58:63) forcing coach Spahija to call for a timeout. Cole mid-range jumper kept Efes at bay as the yellows finished the third quarter ahead 62:67. Art scored four points at the beginning of the fourth quarter to increase the yellows' lead to 62:71, however Douglas reacted with a three point play. Efes continued their comeback attempt but Kane scored Maccabi's 14th three pointer of the night as the yellows started flirting with a double digit lead (67:76). Tyus completed the three point play to give the yellows the 69:81 lead with just over five minutes remaining in the game. Maccabi continued imposing their will until the end as they got the 81:94 win.
