Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv hoped to continue their momentum against Gilboa Galil at home, and got the early lead, but Galil continued fighting as they ended up winning the game. This was Maccabi's third loss in the domestic league this season. Spahija's squad are still leading the domestic league standings with an 11:3 record.
Coach Spahija's starting five: Cole, John-Di, Roll, Cohen and Art. Both teams stayed close to each other from the tipoff and three minutes into the game the yellows had the 7:6 lead, Roll was unstoppable but Harrison scored from distance to tie the game (9:9), Roll and Cole continued imposing their will as Maccabi were up 18:16, Cohen and Tyus also scored, Weiss scored for Galil to finish the first quarter with Maccabi leading 24:20.
Both teams struggled to score at the beginning of the second quarter with the locals being still ahead 26:22. Segev delivered on both ends of the court to help Maccabi increase their lead (30:24) with six minutes left in the second quarter. Galil capitalized on Maccabi's lack of focus on the defensive end to take the 43:36 lead, Zoosman, Cole and Art reacted with an 8:0 run. Harrison scored for Galil to give them the 47:45 lead at halftime.
Gilboa Galil were the first to score at the beginning of the second half, however Jackson stopped their momentum with a three pointer, the reds reacted as they maintained their lead, with Tyus keeping the hosts close within a striking distance. Kane scored to give the lead back to Maccabi (56:55). Both teams were exchanging blows until John-Di and Roll scored back to back threes to give Maccabi the 62:58 lead, Kane increased Maccabi's lead to 67:61, Galil got back after an unsportsmanlike foul by Segev but John-Di reacted from distance, and though the reds had the final word in the third quarter, Maccabi finished the quarter with 70:68 lead.
John-Di opened the fourth quarter striking from deep to give Maccabi the 73:68 lead. Gilboa Galil didn't panic as at hree pointer by Harrison tied the game (75:75). Jackson scored six points to give Maccabi the 81:75 lead with five minutes left in the game. The reds completed a 7:0 run to take the lead (82:81), Galil increased their lead to three points but Cohen's made free throws kept the yellows close, Roll scored a three pointer to tie the game 88:88, Brown scored from the free throw line to give Galil the 92:88 lead, Pierre was fouled and scored his three free throws (92:91), Harrison secured Galil's 94:91 from the free throw line.
