With their sights locked on the domestic championship Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv opened the third round of the Israeli league in a home game against Haifa. The yellows dominated the first half, the greens' made a comeback as they took a double digit lead in the third however Maccabi showed a lot of heart making a comeback of their own as well as dominating the fourth quarter enroute of an 80:71 win.

The greens opened the second half with a 17:4 run (45:49) to take the lead forcing the yellows to call for a timeout with just over six minutes remaining in the third quarter. Rodriguez and Bowman increased the visitors lead to 45:57. Kane and Mashour scored for Maccabi forcing Haifa to call for a timeout (51:59). The yellows continued their run as Roll and Segev tied the game (59:59) at the end of the third quarter.
Thomas gave the yellows at the beginning of the fourth quarter but Haifa tied the game, but Mashour and Segev made sure that the locals will remain ahead 66:63 with seven minutes left in the game.
