The yellows wanted to get back into their winning ways against Hapoel Jerusalem in the 26th fixture of the Israeli league. Jerusalem got the early lead, but Roll and Cole made sure the hosts will impose their will in the first half, Jerusalem opened the second half with a comeback attempt but Tyus, John-Di Thomas and Roll made sure the hosts will enter the fourth quarter with a double digit lead, Jerusalem made another comeback and won the game after a three pointer by Perperoglou. The yellows dropped to a 17:8 record In the domestic league standings.

Coach Spahija's starting five: Roll, Cole, Kane, Cohen and Tyus. Kinsey scored for Hapoel Jerusalem as the reds got the early 0:5 lead, Roll reacted from distance as the yellows remained poised. Tyus rocked the rim to tie the game with a thunderous dunk, and Cole gave the yellows the 11:9 lead three minutes into the first. Dyson tied the game but Thomas scored from distance (16:13), Dyson tied the game but Cole's floater sparks a 7:0 run by the yellows (25:18) forcing coach Katash to call for a timeout. Stratos scores a three pointer for the Reds as the first quarter comes to an end with the yellows having the 25:21 lead.

Lucas scored for the reds but Roll reacted with a three pointer (28:23), Dyson brought Jerusalem closer to the hosts (30:27). Kane's three pointer increases Maccabi's lead to 33:27. Tyus' free throws keeps Maccabi ahead 37:31; Cohen and Kane increased the hosts lead to 41:32 forcing Jerusalem to call for a timeout. Roll's three pointer makes it 46:33 with just under a minute and a half remaining in the first half. Eliaspour scored four points to cut Maccabi's lead down to 46:37 as the first half comes to an end.

Jerusalem started the third quarter with an 8:2 run forcing coach Spahija to call for a timeout (48:45), Cole and Tyus scored for the yellows but Lucas brought Jerusalem closer again (52:49). Tyus capitalized on an offensive rebound to put the yellows ahead 56:49 with three minutes remaining in the third quarter, John-Di and Thomas' in and out play gives Maccabi the 59:49 lead forcing coach Katash to call for a timeout. John-Di and Tyus continue the yellow dominance to finish the third quarter strong with the 66:53 lead.

Dyson cut Maccabi's lead down to 68:60, but Segev reacted with a dunk, Lucas and John-Di exchanged threes as the yellows were ahead in double digits (73:63). Lucas and Stratos scored back to back threes for the reds as coach Spahija called for a timeout (73:70). Lucas' mid-range jumper to put the visitors within a striking distance, but Tyus reacts with a dunk (75:72).  Dyson scores seven points in row to put Jerusalem ahead 75:79 with just over two minutes remaining in the game. Tyus ties the game (79:79), and then connects with Kane for a thunderous dunk to give Maccabi the lead. Stratos scores a three pointer to give Jerusalem the 81:82 win.
