Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv wanted to finish the domestic league regular season on a high note as they faced Bnei Herzelia on the road. Spahija's squad was firing on all cylinders as they took the 16:40 lead early in the second quarter. The locals managed to cut Maccabi's lead to just 10 points in the fourth quarter but Pargo and Roll remained poised as Maccabi got the 85:97 win on the road. Spahija's squad finished the regular season as the number one seed with a record of 23:10.
Coach Spahija's starting five: Pargo, Kane, Roll, Jake and Tyus. Cohen and Tyus scored for the visitors who took the early 0:6 lead. Maccabi continued to capitalize on both ends of the court as Roll and Tyus made it 0:12 lead four minutes into the game. The visitors' dominance continued deep into the first as Pargo and John-Di made it 7:25 with just under three minutes remaining in the first, Herzelia started scoring but Spahija's squad kept their composure as they took the 12:29 at the end of the first quarter.
Maccabi kept their double digit lead at the beginning of the second quarter as Bolden completed a three point play (16:35). Coach Shivek called for a timeout as Bolden and Tyus increased Maccabi's lead to 16:40, Herzlia trimmed the visitors' lead to 30:48 forcing coach Spahija to call for a timeout. Herzelia continued their run trimming down Maccabi's lead to just 11 points but Bolden's three pointer gave Maccabi the 40:54 lead at halftime.
Pargo took control over the game at the beginning of the third quarter scoring 11 points helping Maccabi withstand Herzelia's comeback attempt. Cohen and Tyus increased the visitors' lead to 55:73 putting Herzelia's comeback attempt to an end. Dawson's free throw took Maccabi's lead down to 17 points but Cole found Cohen for a corner three pointer at the buzzer to put Maccabi ahead 58:78 at the end of the third.
Adrian scored for the locals at the beginning of the fourth quarter but Tyus connected with Pargo to keep Maccabi ahead 61:80. Herzelia capitalized on a three point play and a technical to complete an 8:0 run forcing coach Spahija to call for a timeout (69:80). Roll scored a three pointer but Adrian and Dawson reacted (73:83). Roll capitalized on a technical fouled called upon coach Shivek (73:89). Dawson completed a 5:0 run by the locals who made another run at a comeback but Bolden and Pargo kept Herzelia at bay as the scoreboard was showing 78:93 with just under 03:30 remaining in the game. Pargo and Roll made sure Maccabi will get the 85:97 win.
