Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv wanted to continue their momentum in the domestic league's third round. Spahija's squad took control over the first quarter, the visitors came back in the second quarter but the yellows managed to stay ahead. Galil completed their second comeback in the game to take the 79:81 win.
Coach Spahija's starting five: Cole, Kane, Zoosman Bolden and Cohen. Cole was the first to score for Maccabi as he completed the three point play (3:0). Bolden's jumper kept Maccabi ahead 7:6, Galil took the 9:10 lead. Lebanowski increased the visitors lead (11:14) forcing coach Spahija to call for a timeout. A jumper made by Thomas sparked a 12:0 run by the yellows as they finished the first quarter strong with 23:16 lead.
Galil started the second quarter with a 4:0 run (23:20) forcing coach Spahija to call for a timeout. The visitors completed their comeback taking the 25:27 lead with just over six minutes left in the second quarter. Brown increased Galil's lead, but Roll reacted with a jumper (29:34), the yellows continued capitalizing as they trimmed the visitors lead to 35:36; Thomas and Roll completed the comeback to finish the first half ahead 39:38.
The yellows opened the third quarter firing on all cylinders as they increased their lead to 49:40, Galil reacted trimming Maccabi's lead to within a striking distance (53:51). Bolden scored to keep Maccabi's lead alive as the yellows regained control over the game. Jonah capitalized on offense again as the yellows finish the third quarter ahead 61:55.
Roll scored a three pointer at the beginning of the fourth quarter as Maccabi increased their lead to 64:55. Brown's three pointer brought Galil back into the game (68:65). With less than three minutes remaining in the game Galil tied the game but Zoosman came big with a huge three pointer to give Maccabi back the 74:71. Zach LeDay gave the 75:74 lead to Galil with less than a minute remaining in the game, Shuchman increased the visitors' lead to 74:77, Roll made it 76:77 from the free throw line. LeDay scored both free throws to put Galil ahead 76:79 with 15.9 seconds remaining in the game. Thomas scored a three pointer to keep the yellows alive (79:80) with 4.8 seconds remaining in the game, Galil made it 79:81 as they took the 79:81 win.
