With a record of 6:11 Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv had to get a big win on the road and with CSKA being their opponents the stakes were as high as they can get. The Russians started the game better taking a 10 point lead but from that moment the squad in yellow and blue woke their inner beast as they imposed their will throughout the game as they bought down the Russian juggernaut down 76:93 delivering a flawless performance on both ends of the court improving their record to 7:11. Coach Sfairopoulos' starting five: Wilbekin, Kane, Caloiaro, O'Bryant and Tyus. Kurbanov and Peters gave CSKA the early 5:2 lead but O'Bryant kept Maccabi close. Clyburn and Hacket tied the game from the free throw line but Zoosman reacted with back to back threes to keep Maccabi ahead (36:40). O'Bryant found Tyus who got the job done enroute a 39:46 lead. De Colo was the last to score in the first half with his team trailing 41:46 at halftime. CSKA started the third quarter with a 7:2 to tie the game (48:48). The squad in yellow and blue remained poised as Wilbekin and Johnny reacted to give Maccabi the 48:52 lead. Alex hosted a block party keeping CSKA's offense at bay (48:54). CSKA scored four points but Zoosman and Kane reacted for the visitors who took the 70:82 lead with just under three minutes remaining in the game. Wilbekin and Tyus increased Maccabi's lead to 74:88 from which CSKA couldn't recover as coach Sfairopoulos' squad claims the 76:93 impressive away win.
