With a 5:1 record in the domestic league, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv played against Maccabi Rishon Lezion as Coach Sfairopoulos wanted to maintain their domestic dominance. Maccabi imposed their will early in the game and as they fired on all cylinders increasing their lead throughout the game enroute of a 98:64 win improving their record to 6:1.
Coach Sfairopoulos starting five: Scottie, Kane, Zoosman, Cohen and Black. Zoosman was the first to score in the game as Maccabi took the 4:1 lead. Ariel scored in transition to keep the visitors within a striking distance (6:5). Caloiaro's three pointer sparked a 9:0 run as Maccabi took the 17:10 lead. Tyus and John-Di finished the first quarter strong with Maccabi having the 22:12 lead.
Caloiaro scored from deep at the beginning of the second quarter but Koulechov reacted for the visitors (25:15). Johnny continued dishing dimes with Caloiaro being the beneficiary scoring from distance forcing coach Sherf to call for a timeout with the scoreboard showing 30:15. Rishon trimmed Maccabi's lead to 35:25 with just over five minutes remaining in the second quarter. Black scored four points to keep Maccabi ahead (44:29) however the visitors had the final say in the first half as they trial 44:32.
Scottie scored back to back threes at the beginning of the third quarter to make it 50:34, Rishon tried to get back in the game but Maccabi reacted with a 15:0 run to keep them at bay (68:42). Blazer and Stephens reacted with a 5:0 run, but Tyus capitalized on the offensive board to make it 70:47. Angelo and Tyus finished the third quarter strong putting Maccabi ahead 76:50.
Maccabi increased their lead to 78:51 at the beginning of the fourth. Rishon tried to capitalize again however Roll and Avdija completed a 10:0 run as Maccabi's lead passed the 30 points barrier (88:57). John-Di and Deni scored back to back threes as Maccabi kept their lead over 30 (94:62). Deni had the final say in the game as Maccabi claims an impressive 98:64 win at home.
