With a record of 10:3 and just shy of 48 hours after the important home win against Panathinaikos, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv played versus Gilboa Galil. The visitors managed to stay close to the yellows who had the 47:45 edge at halftime. In the second half coach Sfairopoulos' squad came out firing on all cylinders crushing all of Galil's hopes for a comeback enroute if a home win. Maccabi are now with an 11:3 record in the domestic standings.
Coach Sfairopoulos' starting five: Pargo, Wilbekin, Zoosman, Cohen and Black. Miller was the first to score in the game, Black and Pargo reacted for the squad in yellow and blue as Galil took the 4:5 lead. Zoosman and Black completed the comeback for Maccabi who took the 16:13 lead. Miller and Scott gave the visitors the 20:23 lead with just over a minute remaining in the first quarter. Roll was the last to score in the first as Maccabi trail 24:25.
O'Bryant started the second quarter blazing as he forced Galil to call for a timeout with the scoreboard showing 28:26. O'Bryant increased Maccabi's lead Gilboa reacted with a 5:0 run but Cohen made sure the yellows' will have the edge (34:33). Both teams traded blows with neither side managing to capitalize with the scoreboard showing 47:45 yellow lead at halftime.
The visitors managed to stay close to Maccabi at the beginning of the third, but then great ball movement by the squad in yellow and blue resulted in with Galil calling for a timeout with the scoreboard showing 57:51. The offense in yellow and blue caught fire with Pargo, Scottie and Roll knocking down shots from deep enroute of a 68:51 lead. Karples completed a 7:0 run for Galil, the yellows reacted but the visitors were the last to score in the third as the trail 75:61.
The reds started the fourth quarter scoring from deep but Johnny and Zoosman reacted with back to back threes, Galil tried to spark another comeback but Roll kept them at bay as Maccabi took the 86:69 lead. The squad in yellow and blue didn't hold back as they dominated on both ends of the court increasing their lead time and again enroute of a 105:77 home win.
