The Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv Basketball club informed its head coach, Neven Spahija that he is relieved from his coaching duties. Neven, the team owners, the management and the club employees have always had great relations, friendship and mutual respect.
Unfortunately, the current circumstances have led the team to the point where it’s failing to meet its set expectations, therefor brining the team management to part ways with the coach in good spirits and understanding between the two sides. The management thanks Neven for his efforts and wishes him the best of luck in the future, the management is convinced that the great friendship and close relationship between the sides will remain as it was.
The Croatian coach who came back to Maccabi at the beginning of the previous season for a second stint in Tel Aviv have led the club to winning the Israeli championship after three years in which the team has failed to make it to the finals game. Neven is a tremendous basketball persona and a great person. The club wishes to thank him for his time in Tel Aviv.

Guy is a true Maccabist and a professional who won many titles with the club both as a player and as a coach. Guy came back last year and alongside coach Spahija help bringing the championship back to the city after three years. Guy was, remains and will always be a big part of the Maccabi family.
