Josep Maria Berrocal serves as the senior assistant coach of Oded Kattsh at Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. The experienced 52-year-old coach previously worked alongside Sebastislav Pa?i?, Du?ko Ivanovi?, Xavi Pascual, and Giorgos Bartzokas and also served as the head coach of Menorca, Donetsk, Eski?ehir, and Estudiantes.
Born in Barcelona on May 30, 1970, Berrocal started coaching at a young age in the youth department of Badalona and other regional clubs. In 1997 he joined Barcelona, and in 2002 was appointed as a first assistant in the senior team.
In 2010, he left Catalunia to start his European journey that includes two Euroleague titles, four championships, and three Spanish cups.
