A great scorer who can score from all over the court at any given moment, with the physical attributes of both a guard and a small forward. He is effective on pressure defense and a good rebounder.
Landesberg was born in Brooklyn and played for two years at the University of Virginia. In the summer of 2010 he signed with Maccabi Haifa and for two years was one of their top players. In 2012 he posted the very impressive average of 20.7 points per game – and was named the best Israeli scorer in the Winner Sal League. In 2012-13 Sylven joined Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv and began his compulsory service in the IDF.
During 2014/15 Landesberg became an offensive force to be reckoned with, supplying his best numbers yet with Maccabi: 14.9 points on average and once again finishing the season as the leading Israeli scorer in the Winner Sal League. His numbers also improved in the Euroleague, with 8.5 points per game. So far, he has won 3 Israeli Cups, 1 Israeli Championship, and 1 Euroleague title with Maccabi.
