Ohayon’s immense talent became obvious when he was still quite young. He is a particularly athletic left-handed point guard, with a versatile game. A great passer who can also drive to the basket and grab steals and rebounds, Ohayon is also a consistent shooter. Following the injury to Pnini, he served as team captain, playing even while suffering from injuries.
He played his first pro season with Galil-Elyon in 2004-05, when he was only seventeen and a half. He played with Galil for 4 seasons, then moved to Nahariya for a season and then on to Jerusalem for two seasons. He came to Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2011-12 and gave them a fantastic first season, which reached its peak during the incredible quarterfinal series against Panathinaikos and their star, Diamantidis. Ohayon was named MVP of the Israeli Final Four in 2012 as he helped Maccabi win their 50th Israeli Championship.
His career averages in the Euroleague are 6 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game. In the Israeli League last season, he contributed 8 points and 5.9 assists per game (third in the League). So far, Ohayon has won 4 Israeli Cups, 2 Israeli Championships, 1 Adriatic League Championship, and 1 Euroleague Championship with Maccabi. He has also been a key player on the Israeli National Team at all age levels, and has played at the top level in three European Championship campaigns.
