Maccabi Fox Tel Aviv is proud to announce the signing of American forward, Victor Rudd. Rudd (25, 6'9) signed a one year contract with an extension option for another year. The LA born combo-forward is considered to be a versatile, high-octane athlete, with the ability to create scoring opportunities for himself and others. Rudd impressed head coach, Erez Edelstein and team manager, Nicola Vujcic, while playing for Miami Heat in the NBA summer league. He scored 11.2 points in 21.6 minutes per game.
Rudd played collegiate basketball at Arizona State and South Florida. During his senior year, he scored 16.1 PPG before going undrafted and joining the Delaware 87ers from the NBA's D-League. Rudd made his European debut last year, in Nizhny Novgorod. He put up excellent numbers, both in the Eurocup and the VTB league.
Rudd led Nizhny to the Eurocup quarter final while scoring 15.8 PPG and adding 6.7 RPG and 2.2 APG. His impressive run included two games against Maccabi, in the first of which he scored 22 points and added 5 rebounds .He was named all Eurocup second team.
Rudd's VTB stats are equally impressive: 15.2 PPG, 6.9 RPG and 2.7 APG.
