Tarik Black played before his arrival to Israel in 227 NBA games for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets. Among other things, he collaborated with one of the great players ever played the game, Kobe Bryant, before crossing the ocean last summer for the first season in European basketball.

In the European arena he also led Maccabi players with 13.8 points. During the regular league season, he averaged 9 points, grabbed 6.1 rebounds and blocked 1.1 shots in 18.7 minutes per game.
One of the games that characterized Black this season was game 1 of the quarterfinals against Hapoel Tel Aviv, then he blocked 5 times in the first 5 minutes and compared the playoff record with blocks.
